Derry Woman, 80's

My grandfather and my two great uncles all fought in WW1. There were an awful lot of young men from the city went out there (Western front.) They all came back; they all survived although one of my uncles lost a leg and was never the same. It was never talked about much. I never thought I would see the day when I would be standing in a shopping centre in the middle of Derry telling you my story. No, I never thought I'd live to see that day.
